Cryptocurrency platform Amber Group is in talks with investors about new financing. Citing knowledgeable sources, Bloomberg writes that the company’s valuation could rise to $10 billion as a result.
In February 2022, the Singapore-based company raised $200 million in a Series B+ investment round at a valuation of $3 billion.
Announcing the deal, Amber Group CEO Michael Wu noted that the organization plans to hold an initial public offering, most likely on one of the US stock exchanges, in 2023. According to him, before that, the company can arrange another round of financing.
Founded in 2017, Amber Group offers a wide range of products for institutional and retail investors: market-making services, trading services, investment vehicles and DeFi infrastructure.
Recall that in 2022, Amber Group announced that it was acquiring the DeCurret bitcoin exchange in Japan.
