Machine learning expert Yannick Kilcher has created an app that creates images in the style of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection.

The system is based on generative adversary neural networks (GANs). Kilcher analyzed a BAYC collection of 10,000 images and trained the NVIDIA StyleGAN2 algorithm on the collected dataset.

The developer said the finished system produces “bored monkeys” that are completely unique and interchangeable.

But Kilcher acknowledged that the images don’t always come out perfect.

“The quality of my system is not very good, artifacts are often visible,” he said.

The developer added that his colleagues Cyril Zakka and Nathan Cooper Jones have created similar tools with better results.

Recall that in April, an unidentified person hacked the Instagram account of the Bored Ape Yacht Club project.
