Mining data center operator BitRiver is considering filing a lawsuit against the US Treasury over the sanctions imposed on the company. This was mentioned to RIA Novosti at BitRiver.
Company representatives believe the charges against him are “baseless” and damage his reputation:
“BitRiver is not a government agency, it is a 100% private company that does not in any way help the Russian Federation circumvent sanctions. BitRiver also plans to accuse the U.S. Treasury of unfair competition and lobbying for the rules-breaking U.S. mining industry. WTO“.
Recall that in April, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on the BitRiver group of companies to combat the Russian Federation’s potential escape from cryptocurrency mining sanctions.
In a comment to ForkLog, BitRiver founder and CEO Igor Runets said US actions should be viewed as interference in the mining industry, “unfair competition and an attempt to shift the global balance of power in favor of American companies.”
