Emirates Airlines, one of the world’s largest airlines, has announced the acceptance of bitcoin payments and the launch of an NFT collection. This is reported by local media.

At a press conference, the carrier’s chief operating officer, Adel Ahmed Al Reda, expressed Emirates Airlines’ interest in using blockchain for aircraft accounting and metaverse technology.

“Metaverses will bring traditional learning operations, ticket sales into the digital world, making them more interactive,” he said.

To develop new projects, the airline will hire specialist workers.

Recall that in October 2021, the El Salvador airline Volaris added payment with bitcoin.
