Streaming music service Spotify is exploring the use of NFTs on the platform. Reported by Music Ally.
Based on the profiles of indie band The Wombats and DJ Steve Aoki, Spotify is testing the placement of NFTs that can be purchased from external markets. The service does not yet plan to sell tokens directly.
In the United States, testing is underway for a limited number of users of the Spotify Android app.
If successful, the company does not exclude the full implementation of the function for all artists.
Twitter users are also reporting that Spotify is being held questionnaire It’s about NFT, Web 3.0 and cryptocurrencies.
