Lack of understanding of the technology has become the most popular reason for users to refuse to invest in digital assets. This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by Coupon Follow.

The study included 1,172 U.S. residents over the age of 18 who had never invested in cryptocurrencies.

42% of respondents did not dare to buy coins because they did not “understand their value”. 39% are worried about volatility. 35% consider cryptocurrencies to be a scam – often this reason is called by representatives of the generation baby booms (44%).

Another 24% said they are not competent enough to buy an asset.

18% of respondents said they had downloaded cryptocurrency exchange apps to their phones at some point, but never used them. Some lacked knowledge, others feared unstable prices, others worried about the security of the software.

Only 6% of Americans who currently do not own cryptocurrency said they are ready to buy it in the near future.

More information on the benefits of investing in cryptocurrencies will help change the skepticism of those surveyed. 18% think so.

16% would have made the first purchase if they had a higher current income – mostly this answer millennials.
