Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon made changes to his proposal to hard fork the Terra blockchain. According to him, he arranged various parameters for the distribution of tokens of the new network, “taking into account the opinion of the community.”
On May 16, Kwon initiated a hard fork voting, which he described as “a chance to revive the project from the ashes.” The plan includes the creation of a new network with the LUNA token. The current blockchain will be called Terra Classic with the cryptocurrency Luna Classic (LUNC).
The first change reduces the distribution of LUNC tokens to UST holders whose assets are placed on the Anchor Protocol when the algorithmic stablecoin is pegged to the US dollar. Kwon reduced their stake from 20% to 15%. Saved tokens will be sent to the community pool.
According to the second arrangement, Kwon changed the plan. will For participants in the “Before the Attack” and “Start” categories, as well as increased the share of unlocked tokens to 30% since the launch of the new network. The remaining 70% of LUNC will remain locked for a period of two years.
The Terra community criticized Kwon’s decision to change his bid during the voting.
What the hell? How can you make significant changes to the *midvote** on a proposal when most people have already voted (for the original document)? A new proposal in Terra Station must be made with a fresh vote. This is not pleasant. (No comment on changes – execution only.) https://t.co/SeFpc78Sab

“What the heck? How can you make substantial changes to a proposal right in the middle of the vote when most people have made a choice (in favor of the original document)? The new proposal for Terra Station had to be submitted with a fresh vote. It’s not cool. (I’m not commenting on the changes – just execution), ‘ wrote an anonymous FatMan ecosystem analyst.
Previously, the majority of community members did not support the idea of a hard fork in a pre-vote. However, in the main process, the proposal has already passed the quorum threshold.
Approximately 80% of the participants voted “Good” and 17.64% voted “No” with the right of veto. You need 33.4% of the votes to veto a proposal.
Recall that Changpeng Zhao, head of the Binance bitcoin exchange, questioned the advisability of the Terra hard fork.
