The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Ministry of Construction, together with the federal authorities and commercial representatives, prepared proposals for an experimental legal regime for mining. The Prime Minister writes about this with reference to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.

The agency also took the initiative to mandate the use of Russian equipment for the issuance of cryptocurrencies as a priority, “if and when available in the market.”

Recall that the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation proposed to allow mining in regions with a stable surplus of electricity production and introduce acceptable tariffs for its use for companies.

The Department of Energy stated that it would be more appropriate to allocate sites for mining regionally rather than at the federal level.
