Binance NFT marketplace, together with the Atlas team, one of the biggest music festivals in Ukraine, announced the launch of a collection of non-tradable tokens as part of the Hero Cities project. Binance representatives told ForkLog UA about this.
Popular Ukrainian artists and musicians participated in the creation of the collection. It is dedicated to 12 cities of Ukraine – Mariupol, Kyiv, Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen, Kherson, Volnovakha, Kharkov, Chernigov, Nikolaev, Okhtyrka and Izyum. The project aims to draw attention to the destruction caused by the war.
Each owner of the icon will receive a special item signed by one of the musicians, who is the “ambassador” of a particular city. Celebrities participating in the project include the Eurovision 2022 Kalush Orchestra, THE HARDKISS, Odin v Kanoe, Monatik, ONUKA and others.
The collection is limited – each city’s NFTs are available in only five copies.
The auction will start on May 31 and will run for a week. All proceeds will be donated to the Music Saves UA charitable foundation to help families affected by these cities.
Earlier, the NFT collection of the Shakhtar football club was published on the Binance market to raise money for humanitarian aid to the Ukrainians.
