Users in the Russian Federation fixed problems in the operation of Proton VPN. The company claimed that the authorities began to block the service on the territory of the Russian Federation.

“We are currently investigating the issue, but it is not caused by any changes on our part. It is likely that local ISPs and authorities are interfering with VPN connections, in which case we will not be able to resolve such issues.”

The company added that they continue to try to bypass the lock.

Also, there are reports of problems accessing NordVPN on the network. According to GlobalCheck it is not available on nordvpn.com, MTS, Rostelecom, MegaFon, Tele2, Beeline, Yota and 2KOM networks.

Prior to this, experts reported that unblocking of popular VPN protocols in the Russian Federation was tested.

Recall that last year Roskomnadzor began mass-blocking VPN services. The ministry fears that they are helping to circumvent restrictions by facilitating access to information prohibited in the Russian Federation.

At the end of May, the Windscribe VPN service talked about a possible blocking on the territory of the Russian Federation.
