FTX Cryptocurrency Exchange CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has joined The Giving Pledge, a philanthropic campaign launched by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
The Donation Pledge is considered a public commitment by the world’s wealthy and their families to give most of their wealth to charities. Donations can be made both during the life of the “blasphemer” and after his death.
The head of FTX said it was his duty to do everything possible to make the world better in the long run.
In 2018, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong acquired Giving Pledge.
In May, Sam Bankman-Fried was named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Influential People of 2022. He was also ranked number one among the 400 richest US billionaires in the cryptocurrency industry by Forbes.
