Epic Games Store users will have access to GRIT, the first NFT game on the platform, before the end of the year. This was stated by the developer company Gala Games.

The game was created in the genre of “royal battle” and offers users various fighting modes. To win in a Wild West themed multiplayer shooter, players must collect the best combination of weapons and equipment in the form of in-game items.

GRIT is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. The developers have not announced the release date, users can add the game to their wishlist.

“The arrival of Gala Games titles on the Epic Game Store lends legitimacy to this new genre. “Easy access to Web3 apps is a milestone for gamers who have yet to see how digital property can enhance their gaming experience.”

Gala Games will release 10,000 avatars that offer unique skins and customization items for GRIT players. The firm will launch its NFT sale on June 6 during the Galaverse event in Malta.

In October 2021, Valve Corporation, the operator of the largest online video game store Steam, banned blockchain games from being embedded in it. At the time, the Epic Games Store stated that they were “open to games that support cryptocurrencies.”

Recall that in December, Gala Games and venture capital firm C² Ventures announced the launch of a $100 million fund to invest in game developers and new blockchain-based projects.
