Leading non-tradable token platform OpenSea has implemented a number of solutions to protect against plagiarism, intellectual property infringement and fraud, co-founder and CEO David Finser said.

According to him, in the first half of 2022, the market has created several key technical systems that help the team promote original content and reduce fake content.

Among the implemented solutions, he listed the following:

• a new verification mechanism that more clearly identifies real accounts;
• Copy protection tool with image recognition technology for NFT scanning and copy detection;
• An advanced search system that optimizes the delivery of original content for users.

Other product developments in the indicated direction were:

• In-Product Reporting – helps OpenSea experts respond to user reports of suspicious items;
• Account Settlement Tool – a tool that, using the platform interface, allows you to prohibit NFT from being listed in a wallet if it is hacked;
• Proactive Account Suspension – a proactive system to prevent the provision of market services to accounts suspected of fraud;
• Smart Audit Tools – Smart audit tools to monitor and take action on problematic collections.

OpenSea also increased its user support and security team to 200 people.

Finser also announced “significant investments” through the end of 2022 in several key areas, including:

• theft and fraud prevention in cooperation with trading platforms, wallet providers and other market participants;
• protection of intellectual property on the Internet, also in partnership with third parties;
• scaling the review and moderation of content on the platform;
• reduces response time to signals from users with critical problems.

Recall that in February, OpenSea reported that over 80% of NFTs created using the free version option were plagiarism, fake or spam.
