Intel, which also produces chips for mining, announced that it has suspended its activities in Russia.
“Intel continues to support the global community in condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for early peace,” the firm said in a statement.
Intel suspended deliveries of its products to the Russian Federation and Belarus in early March 2022.
The company has taken steps to ensure business continuity, minimize disruptions in the global chain of operations, and support all employees, including 1,200 people in Russia.
Recall that earlier in April, Intel announced a new Blockscale chip for bitcoin mining, which provides hash rates of up to 0.58 TH/s with an energy efficiency of about 26 J/TH.
