Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has reported on its attempts to help the war-affected Ukrainian people.

Binance representatives told ForkLog UA that between April 26 and June 10, approximately 70,000 people issued the cryptocurrency Binance Refugee Card.

To receive financial support through this, users should contact the exchange’s nonprofit partner organizations. Applications of 4,000 Ukrainians abroad have already been approved, more than 1,700 refugees have received funding.

We also initiated a financial support project with the charities Palianytsia and Rotary Club Kyiv International. HPE in Ukraine.

First of all, vulnerable groups of displaced people – large families or parents of young children, the disabled or elderly residents of the country will be able to receive benefits of 75 BUSD per month for three months.

In the first phase, the initiative will cover 5,000 HPE and $1.2 million will be allocated for its implementation.

“Initially we were going to help people who were forced to enter the EU, who were granted refugee status and who really needed help. But in parallel, we decided to launch a pilot project to help those staying in Ukraine,” said Binance representatives.

The exchange team also announced close cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine, within the framework of which a course on online professions will be launched for Ukrainians who lost their jobs due to the war in June. Binance emphasized that they will continue to follow the sanctions policy and monitor its implementation on the platform.

Recall, at the beginning of the war, the stock market announced that it would allocate 10 million dollars to solve the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

In April, the company announced the launch of the Binance Refugee Card for existing and new users in Ukraine who had to relocate to Europe due to the Russian occupation.
