Ukrainian company Evoltech and broker ICU have announced the launch of the “first crypto bond,” UA Crypto Bond (UACB), which will allow investment in Ukrainian government bonds.

UACBs are backed by war bonds with a government money-back guarantee. The expected maturity is November 2022.

You can buy tokens and withdraw using USDT stablecoins (in BEP-20 or TRC-20) after paying the authorities for the bonds. The authors of the initiative point out that paying in USDT will protect investors from fluctuations in the hryvnia exchange rate.

The starting price per UACB unit is set at 34.18 USDT based on placement conditions.

To purchase, you need to create a wallet on the site, you only need to specify an e-mail address when registering. The minimum investment amount is 3 USDT.

All funds raised will be used to support Ukraine in the war.

The first launch of war bond backed tokens is a pilot.

“This is a test that tests the interest and appetite of a new category of investors in public debt and unlocks the potential of virtual assets law,” YBU said.

YBU believes that the project will be enlarged after the adoption of the amendments to the Tax Law. Recall that the law “on virtual assets” will come into effect only after the approval of the provisions on taxation of the crypto market.

Before the launch, the initiative was discussed with the regulator of the crypto industry in Ukraine – the National Commission on Securities and Exchanges.

Since the early days of the war, the cryptocurrency community has donated millions of dollars and launched various initiatives to help Ukrainians. Learn more about how crypto assets are helping the Ukrainian people.
