real identity Satoshi NakamotoThe creator of Bitcoin has always been a mystery. A recent HBO documentary brought together a variety of information and evidence, and its creators claimed to have found the solution.

According to this data, Satoshi Nakamoto is actually Peter Todd, an expert cryptography developer who has been closely involved with the cryptocurrency world almost since the creation of Bitcoin.

Todd apparently had no idea that the documentary was intended to reveal Nakamoto’s true identity. When they contacted him for an interview, his impression was that the production was dedicated to the history of Bitcoin.

In the documentary, Todd ironically stated “I am Satoshi” (an old saying of cryptocurrency believers), but in an interview immediately afterwards he made it clear that “of course I am not Satoshi.”

He is quoted as saying in Wired: “I think Cullen [Hoback el director del documental] He made this accusation against Satoshi for marketing purposes. He needed a way to get attention for his movie.” Hoback stands by his theory, stating, “While I obviously can’t directly say it’s Satoshi, I think I’ve made a pretty clear case.”

Todd Satoshi or not, one thing is for sure: disappeared.

The reason for his disappearance makes sense. The documentary made it appear that the emails were not reaching him. “These are the people asking for money right now.” In a conversation with Wired, Todd revealed that, for example, one person sent him 25 messages in two days to help him pay off his loan.

The developer stated that he expected “continued harassment by crazy people” from now on, and that the consequences to his personal safety led him to decide to disappear from the map.

“Frankly, false claims that ordinary people are extraordinarily rich expose them to threats of robbery and kidnapping. The question is not only stupid, it is dangerous. It is clear that Satoshi does not want to be found for good reasons, and no one wants to. I am trying to find Satoshi.” We have to help working people.”

According to Hoback, this statement is exaggerated and confirms that revealing the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is in the public interest. The evidence he includes in his documentary is by no means conclusive and mostly circumstantial.

Todd even sent photos of himself to Wired to prove that he was skiing or caving when Satoshi posted some messages on the forums. He himself admits that denying the accusation is not enough.

If one assumes Satoshi is advanced enough, he explains: “any theory is possible. This question is useless because Satoshi simply denies it.” Logically, that’s what Todd does.
