CEO Mark Lamb said that Bitcoin.com founder Roger Ver owed $47 million to cryptocurrency derivatives platform CoinFLEX and sent a default notice to Bitcoin-Jesus.

“Roger Ver owes CoinFLEX $47 million in USDC. We have a written agreement with him that obliges him to maintain any negative equity in his CoinFLEX account and to regularly renew the margin. He did not comply with the terms of the agreement and we sent him a notice of default,” Lamb wrote.

Earlier, the platform announced the Recovery Value USD (rvUSD) token. The company said it expects to use it to raise $47 million to pay off a “rich” private client and continue the withdrawal of funds.

On June 27, Lamb said the company was in trouble because of a “long-time” customer who was given credit on unique terms. There is no liquidation price for its position – it provides liquidity to the platform in return. However, his position became unprofitable against the background of the crisis.

Apparently, this person was Ver. Second, it refuses to be involved in the debt position.

“He denies that the debt applies to him, so we thought we should make it clear to the public that yes, the position is 100% related to his account. “Roger Ver is an EU citizen that we believe has significant assets in the US, UK and other relevant jurisdictions,” Lamb said.

The head of CoinFLEX also stressed that the platform has no debt obligations to Ver and its statements are “blatant lies”.

Shortly before Lamb’s announcement, the founder of Bitcoin.com posted a tweet in which he stated that he had no debts to the other party.

“There are rumors that I have defaulted on my debt to the other party. This is false information. Not only do I owe this other party, he also owes me a significant amount. Now I want my money back,” Ver wrote.

Recall that cryptocurrency broker Voyager Digital sent a notice of default to the Three Arrows Capital hedge fund due to non-payment of a loan.
