Taiwanese company HTC has released a smartphone Desire 22 Pro with metaverse and NFT support.

The phone was announced as a mid-range model with a 6.6-inch display based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. The gadget is compatible with the Viverse ecosystem and virtual reality– HTC products such as the Vive Flow headset. The smartphone acts as a controller for the glasses.

Desire 22 Pro also lets you manage digital assets, including NFTs, through the Vive Wallet app. Another service – Vive Avatar – allows you to create virtual avatars.

The smartphone is equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera with an additional 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels. The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor.

The Desire 22 Pro comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone uses the Android 12 operating system.

Device privacy is supported by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The case is protected from water and dust according to the IP67 standard.

The Desire 22 Pro is scheduled to go on sale on July 1 for around $405.

Recall that in 2018 HTC released the first version of the Exodus 1 blockchain smartphone.

In a later modification of the model, the company added support for a full bitcoin node, cryptocurrency exchanges and other functions related to digital assets. In 2020, Exodus 1s introduced the ability to mine Monero (XMR).
