OpenSea, the leading platform for immutable tokens, has reported a user data leak.
This was due to an abuse of access to information by an employee of Customer.io, an email delivery service used by OpenSea.
NFT has handed over the email addresses of its marketplace customers to a third party. OpenSea has warned of possible consequences in the form of phishing attempts.
The site team noted that attackers could attempt to contact potential victims using an email address similar to the official opensea.io domain.
The platform reported the incident to law enforcement.
Earlier, it was known about the data leak of 8.2 million US users of Cash App. It was due to the fault of a former employee of the Block payment company.
