Fintech company Bolt Financial Inc. According to The Wall Street Journal, it will acquire blockchain payments startup Wyre Payments, the deal will be worth approximately $1.5 billion. The parties confirmed the publication information.

According to the WSJ, the upcoming takeover will be the largest in the history of the crypto industry. SPAC. In May 2021, cryptocurrency bank Galaxy Digital acquired custody service provider BitGo for $1.2 billion.

Founded in 2014, Bolt Financial provides one-click payment services to merchants. The deal with Wyre will allow the company to enter the cryptocurrency payments market.

Wyre is a blockchain payment platform operator. Its API and crypto-to-fiat gateways allow customers to interact with digital assets. The startup estimates that by 2025, around one million developers will interact with its infrastructure.

According to the WSJ, Wyre is also licensed to transfer funds in 27 US states.
