Cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Thalex has closed its $7.64 million Series A funding round.
Investors included Bitfinex and Bitstamp trading platforms, as well as Flow Traders, IMC, QCP and Wintermute.
“We are excited to be a part of this Thalex funding round and to see huge potential in the futures and options market,” said Paolo Ardoino, Bitfinex CTO.
Thalex is already available for public testing. The team did not specify a specific date for a full-fledged launch, but promised to do so “soon.”
The exchange is in the process of obtaining a license DLTProvider from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
Indonesia-based digital asset trading platform Pintu raised $113 million in June.
In May, Streamy, operator of South Korean crypto exchange Gopax, closed its 30 billion won (~$23.7 million) Series B funding round.
