Lightspeed Venture Partners has raised $7.1 billion in four new funds to support “start-ups”. Additionally, the venture firm has formed the Lightspeed Faction team, which focuses on investments in the crypto industry.

Lightspeed Faction will be led by investors Sam Harrison and Banafshe Fatiye. The team will focus on nine years of experience in financing a venture capital firm of blockchain startups.

One of the $500 million announced Lightspeed India Partners Fund IV funds will focus on “supporting entrepreneurs from India and Southeast Asia”.

The volume of assets managed by Lightspeed Venture Partners has reached $18 billion. The firm’s portfolio includes more than 500 companies, of which 190 have entered or are going public. M&A-opportunities.

Recall that in November 2021, FTX, Lightspeed and Solana Ventures created a $100 million fund to support blockchain games.
