Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has received approval from Italian regulator OAM to provide digital assets-related services to residents of the country.
As the site reports on its blog, the new OAM requirements oblige all companies providing trading or storage services for cryptocurrencies to meet regulatory criteria for working with Italian customers.
Coinbase added that the exchange has strengthened its position in the European market while it is in the process of obtaining or applying for licenses from EU regulators.
Earlier, the exchange announced further expansion to European markets.
Recall that the OAM license was obtained by Binance in May.
