A major NFT collector lost 100 ETH in a fun bet on his registered Ethereum Name Service (ENS).

A user under the pseudonym Franklinisbored who owns 57 collectible coins BAICregistered an ENS domain stop fake-offering.eth via an alternative wallet. He then staked 100 ETH (~$148,900) from his main address.

According to him, it was meant as a joke. He wanted to have fun on the ENS Offers Twitter bot by having him write about a big space offer.

The collector then sold the domain to an anonymous user for 1.9 ETH (~$2830), tweeting, calling it “the most amazing win ever”.

However, he forgot to cancel his own offer of 100 ETH, which the new owner accepted 15 minutes after the sale.

“Oh no, I lost 100 ETH. I celebrated the sell joke, I mentioned the profit but forgot to cancel the buy bet out of greed. It will be the joke and failure of the century. I deserve all the jokes and criticism,” Franklinisbored wrote.

The field was returned to the collector. At the time of writing, the best bid for it is 0.125 ETH (~$186). Franklin was bored with the answer send back 1.9 ETH to the buyer/seller.

Recall that the owner of the ENS domain amazon.eth ignored the 1 million USDC offer and it expired.
