Founded by Anthony Scaramucci, SkyBridge Capital will launch a venture capital fund focused on Web3 and the crypto industry. Business Insider aims to develop startups and late-stage companies, citing knowledgeable sources.

Accredited investors will have access to the structure. The official announcement can be made at the Salt conference on September 12.

SkyBridge Capital plans to open the fund under conditions of attractive discounts on the secondary market. Startups with stable valuations after the last investment rounds are also interesting.

Sources said that funds managed by SkyBridge have invested ~$425 million in 12 private companies, including FTX, since January 2021.

Earlier, the media had reported that the redemption of shares of the Legion Strategies fund was frozen by the investment firm after the collapse of stock prices and cryptocurrencies.

Approximately 20% of the structure’s portfolio consists of start-ups that do not have high liquidity. Some were assumed to receive public status this year.

Flagship Multi-Advisory Hedge Portfolios are also experiencing problems. Anthony Scaramucci said in an interview with The New York Times that investors have applied for an $890 million withdrawal. AUM structures were $2 billion – about 22% of assets comprised of investments in cryptocurrencies.
