The new Feeds tab displays posts from friends, groups, and pages the user follows.

Meta has also updated the Home page section created by the recommendation algorithms. Users will be able to view content, including people they are not subscribed to and public groups.

Tabs will appear in the Facebook Android and iOS apps within a week. The “Home” section opens by default, but the user can pin “Ribbons” to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Recall that in October 2021, a former employee of the social network Francis Haugen accused the company of deliberately using algorithms to incite hatred for profit.

That same month, Facebook agreed to open its content sorting tools to regulators to prove they’re harmless.

In July 2022, the European Parliament passed a law mandating social networks to ensure the transparency of their recommendation algorithms.
