Launched by the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ukrainian blockchain community, the NFT Metahistory Museum, dedicated to the chronology of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, has raised over $1.3 million.

According to the data on the site, a total of 803.28 ETH was collected during the sale of non-tradable tokens. Of these, 297,506 ETH (about $481,000 at the time of writing) were transferred to the Aid For Ukraine crypto fund.

Most of the proceeds came from the sale of the Kalush Orchestra’s Eurovision 2022 NFT award, which is located on the museum platform. It was purchased by the WhiteBIT crypto exchange for 500 ETH. The funds were transferred to Sergei Prytula’s charitable foundation, museum representatives told ForkLog UA.

Another portion of the collected cryptocurrency (approximately 4.7 ETH) was donated to an initiative run jointly with the Ministry of Culture to restore historical and cultural sites destroyed by war. The remaining 1.05 ETH is still in the smart contract of one of the collections.

The museum has also launched the third Warline NFT collection, the proceeds of which will be donated to Aid for Ukraine. In a comment to ForkLog UA, project strategist Alisa Fursa emphasized that the tokens can be purchased directly from the site.

Recall that the initiative was launched in March 2022. The main purpose of the museum is to preserve the memory of wartime events, disseminate knowledge among the global digital community and raise funds to support Ukraine.

In June, the Ministry of Digital Development also announced that NFTs from the CryptoPunks collection were sold for 90 ETH.
