According to CoinGecko, on the night of July 29, prices of the first cryptocurrency crossed the $24,000 level. Over the past day, the price of the asset has increased by 4.1%.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is holding above $24,300.

The second-largest cryptocurrency by capitalization is above the $1,700 level it passed on July 28. Ethereum added 4.9% on the day, the current price is $1,740.

According to Coinglass, liquidation volume on the futures market in the past 24 hours has exceeded $488 million. Of the total amount, more than $247 million is in Ethereum and $85.5 million in Bitcoin.

Of the top 10 crypto assets by capitalization, the USDC stablecoin remains in the red zone. Solana shows the most significant growth – 10.7% per day.

In the top 20 of the rating, Ethereum Classic remains the leader in terms of growth – the coin continues to rise after the announcement of investments from AntPool. The daily price increased by 35.2% – 71.2% for the week. At the time of writing, the asset is trading at $44.59.

Leading digital assets started to grow after the meeting of the US Federal Reserve. On July 27, the agency increased the key rate range to 2.25%-2.5% against which Bitcoin reached $22,000.

On July 28, the US Department of Commerce released GDP data as the economy entered a technical recession. Exchanges reacted negatively to the report and digital gold prices surged from intraday highs to over $23,200.

Recall that Grayscale analysts allowed the completion of the crypto winter by the end of March 2023.

Earlier, former Goldman Sachs executive and macro investor Raul Pal predicted that Bitcoin would reverse due to increased global liquidity.
