The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has finalized the draft law “Digital Currency”, taking into account the positions taken by various departments. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

The document clarified certain provisions, including those related to mining.

The bill was sent to the government.

Recall that the document is aimed at regulating the circulation of cryptocurrencies and provides for transactions with them through Russian banks, identification of holders of crypto wallets and separation of investors by qualifications.

The head of the financial market committee, Anatoly Aksakov, agreed that the law may be adopted in parallel with the amendments to the Tax Code on the taxation of transactions with crypto assets.

Experts interviewed by ForkLog noted that the previous version of the bill contained a number of technical typos, and also did not determine the regulator of the cryptocurrency market in the Russian Federation.
