The US Bankruptcy Court has upheld Voyager Digital’s proposal to freeze a crypto broker’s deposits at Metropolitan Commercial Bank in order to return funds to customers. The Wall Street Journal writes that the account contains $270 million.

About $1.3 billion worth of digital assets on the Voyager platform have been filed for bankruptcy. It will be distributed among creditors in the future.

According to Cointelegraph, the crypto broker received a “recovery” offer from 88 interested parties, including FTX, which the company rejected. Active negotiations continue with 20 of them.

Takeover applications are accepted until August 26. The crypto broker’s management plans to nominate a partner in September to complete the restructuring process in the first quarter of 2023.
