Billionaire Elon Musk invited Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal to a public discussion about the percentage of bots on the social network.

The businessman asked for proof that the share of spam accounts among daily users does not exceed 5%.

It also started a similar survey among its subscribers.

Earlier, Twitter denied that Musk was tricked into signing a $44 billion takeover deal for the company.

In April 2022, the billionaire offered to buy Twitter for $54.2 per share. The administration of the social network agreed to the terms.

However, Musk suspended the process in May after reports of inflated social media viewership numbers. Twitter shareholders subsequently filed a lawsuit over the “chaotic process” of the company’s takeover, accusing Tesla’s chairman of manipulating the market.

In July, Musk announced that the deal to buy the social network had been terminated. The company filed a lawsuit against him, demanding that he fulfill his obligations and complete the purchase.

On July 29, the billionaire filed a counterclaim, the document not yet available to the public. At the same time, Twitter said it was ready to come to an agreement on the original terms if the 100 accounts disclosed the sampling method and the method of verifying their authenticity.

Recall that Twitter lawyers sued a division of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance because of the funds allocated to it for the takeover of the social network by Elon Musk. The agenda was also accepted by the businessman’s financial advisors, investors and potential creditors.
