Cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com has acquired payment service provider PnLink and digital asset provider OK-BIT with corresponding licenses from South Korean regulators.
According to the company’s CEO, Chris Marszalek, the citizens of this country have shown a “great interest in cryptocurrencies.”
Crypto.com looks forward to establishing a “direct relationship” with Korean users as a “safe and regulated” platform.
The company had previously received approvals for activities from regulatory bodies in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Singapore and Dubai.
In March 2022, it became known that Crypto.com would sponsor the World Cup.
Recall that in June Marszalek announced plans to lay off about 5% of staff.
Prior to that, the company announced a significant reduction in CRO token staking rewards for prepaid cards.
