CurateDAO platform launched C2E– The protocol in the avalanche network. According to a press release, the project will allow users to earn rewards on AVAX for compiling community-friendly “boards” like Pinterest.
Boards are decentralized and use a smart contract to transfer revenue to creators and curators.
CurateDAO offers a community-created protocol data optimizationrewarding curators and collectors. The platform enhances the existing Web2 model by transferring revenue and ownership of the results of the effort.
The scheme of work is as follows:
The curator creates a dashboard and determines the properties of the information that should be on it. Any user can take on this role.
Collectors find information for the board in accordance with the recommendations. These participants in the process receive a small amount of money, which they will get back if their efforts are approved by the curator.
The facilitator decides which items will appear on the board. If he makes the wrong decisions, the collectors may stop participating in the initiative.
The Curator earns revenue from advertisements, affiliate links, paid subscriptions or sponsor support. The funds received are distributed proportionally between the collectors and the curator according to the amount of contribution.
Curates in CurateDAO can be thought of as a DAO. Each curator has a purpose and a set of rules that community members follow when adding content.
As examples of boards promoted by CurateDAO, the press release lists:
high-quality Web3 applications;
security vulnerabilities;
secret places for communication;
book lists for managing the metadata warehouse;
vacancies;
futuristic sneakers.
The protocol was launched on Avalanche C-Chain with plans to migrate to a subnet to support the growth of the project. According to project founder Michael Fisher, this blockchain was chosen because of its low transaction fees and high throughput.
The Blizzard Foundation made a strategic investment in CurateDAO.
Recall that in June 2022, the Avalanche team introduced a browser-based wallet and a bridge with the bitcoin blockchain.
In April, Bloomberg reported that Ava Labs, behind the blockchain, has opened a $350 million funding round at a valuation of $5.25 billion.
Its then chairman, John Woo, refused to name Avalanche as a competitor to Ethereum.
