The popular video meme Coffin Dance featuring dancing funerals was sold at auction in the form of an NFT. Part of the funds was sent to the crypto wallet of the Ukrainian charity foundation “Back alive”.
The meme was sold for 327 ETH (over $1M at the time of writing). The buyer transferred $250,000 to the Turn Back We Live fund, one of Ukraine’s largest funds, to help volunteers and the military.
The remaining $500,000 went to the heroes of the video, and $250,000 went to the Ukrainian Bads agency, which was involved in the creation of NFT.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Development and the local cryptocurrency community launched the NFT Metahistory Museum dedicated to the chronology of the events of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
