The court partially accepted the request of the American billionaire Elon Musk to transfer data from Twitter employees about the work of the social network. This is reported by Business Insider citing sources familiar with the situation.

The publication reports that the corresponding petition was filed in secret last week. Judge Kathleen McCormick ordered Twitter to release data held by its former development department, Kayvon Bakpour.

The latter allegedly had access to information and documents related to the analysis of the activity of bots on the social network.

According to the publication, Elon Musk’s lawyers filed another petition requesting Twitter to provide additional documentation on statistics regarding platform users and its data collection and processing methods.

Kaivon Beikpour started Twitter in 2018. Then the social network was headed by Jack Dorsey. Beikpour left the company in May of this year.

In April 2022, the billionaire offered to buy Twitter for $54.2 per share. The administration of the social network agreed to the terms.

However, Musk suspended the process in May after reports of inflated social media viewership numbers. In response, Twitter shareholders sued Tesla’s chairman over the “chaotic process” of the company’s takeover, accusing it of manipulating the market.

In July, Musk announced that the deal to buy the social network had been terminated. The company filed a lawsuit against him, demanding that he fulfill his obligations and complete the purchase.

On July 29, the billionaire filed a counterclaim, the document not yet available to the public. At the same time, Twitter said it was ready to come to an agreement on the original terms if the 100 accounts disclosed the sampling method and the method of verifying their authenticity.

Recently, Twitter lawyers sued a division of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance over funds allocated to him by Elon Musk for the takeover of the social network. The agenda was also accepted by the businessman’s financial advisors, investors and potential creditors.

Recall that Elon Musk called Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal to a public discussion about the percentage of bots in the social network.
