Payments company PayPal has added the ability to buy, sell and transfer cryptocurrencies via a mobile app.

The service supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. The minimum transaction amount is $1.

Users have access to internal and external transfers, as well as the ability to pay with digital currencies for purchases made at “millions” online stores that support PayPal.

The company’s app provides access to educational content about cryptocurrencies.

“Remember that we cannot protect you from losses due to market volatility. Cryptocurrency transfer on the blockchain is also risky and the transaction may be delayed or lost. Make sure you work carefully to buy and sell correctly,” the company warned.

In November 2020, PayPal opened direct access to cryptocurrencies to users in the United States through accounts.

In April 2021, the company added support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash to its Venmo mobile payment service. At the same time, PayPal CEO Dan Shulman noted that the demand for digital assets exceeded expectations.

Recall that in March, the chairman of PayPal expressed his confidence that cryptocurrencies and blockchain will revolutionize the financial system.
