The Kyiv Tech Summit hackathon, which will be held in Kiev from September 6-9, will have its participants create web3 solutions to combat the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Among the areas of development:

  • restoration of destroyed communications and infrastructure;
  • Opposition to a large-scale disinformation campaign of the Russian Federation;
  • overcoming the migration crisis;
  • providing humanitarian aid on the ground.

The event is hosted by the social metaverse Atlantis World, with support from the Unchain.Fund charity foundation, decentralized autonomous organization UkraineDAO, and web3 companies.

โ€œAfter Russia’s extensive occupation of Ukraine, new tools and solutions were needed for a systematic response to a new reality in the country,โ€ the organizers said.

Participants will be able to participate in the hackathon, including online. At least 250,000 developers will receive an invite, including high-level representatives of the crypto community.

The event was spotted by Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, who previously sent donations in favor of Unchain.Fund.

Kyiv Tech Summit’s sponsors and partners will be NEAR, Aurora, Nym, Aragon, Consensys Academy, Amazon, Celo, and a host of other companies and blockchain projects.

The organizers will send the remaining funds after the payment of the cash prizes to the affected mothers and children of Ukraine.
