Digital asset management platform Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe) will airdrop SAFE token. The proposal was submitted to the community for consideration.

It is expected that 5% of the total 50 million SAFEs will be distributed to 21,935 platform users who meet the criteria. Among the latter, the activity on the platform and the amount of assets held until February 9, 2022 were taken into account.

On this date, the GIP-29 proposal was made to launch the SAFE governance token, create a decentralized autonomous organization SafeDAO, and establish an independent Safe Foundation in Switzerland to develop the ecosystem. In the voting held in April, he supported 99.6% of the votes.

In addition to 5% of users, shares in SAFE distribution:

• 15% core developers;
• 15% – Secure Base;
• 60% – SafeDAO and GnosisDAO treasures;
• 5% – ecosystem projects.

For the latter and users, half of the tokens received are subject to a four-year vesting period.

The main goals of Airdrop are to reward the most active users and decentralize the management of Safe.

Recall that in July the platform was rebranded as Safe and raised $100 million in a round of strategic financing.
