The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has blocked the cryptocurrency wallet of a Russian who was raising funds for the Russian military.

According to the ministry, the attacker used a significant portion of the donations to purchase military equipment for L/DNR militants.

The evidence base of the SBU was assembled with the help of anonymous foreign crypto companies.

At the time of blocking, the address contained $22,000 (over 800,000 UAH).

The funds were confiscated, it was decided to withdraw them to the jurisdiction of Ukraine.

The Russians are suspected of financing terrorism.

According to Chanalysis analysts, at least 54 different groups from the Russian Federation have raised funds to finance the military invasion of Ukraine since February 2022. At the end of July, their wallets had received a total of $2.2 million in various digital currencies.
