According to CoinDesk, Moonbeam parachain has integrated the LayerZero network-to-network messaging protocol to improve interaction in the Web3 space.

The blockchain already uses Polkadot’s internal XCM service for communication between parachains. According to Derek Yu, CEO of the parent company of the Moonbeam Purestake project, using the LayerZero solution will expand messaging to various networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and others.

Moonbeam hopes this will encourage developers to deploy their apps on the protocol. Derek Yu said the integration should help blockchain become a “bed of activity”.

“These messaging systems and networking capabilities mean your application will become quite common. [в цепочках]”, the Moonbeam chairman concluded.

In July, the parachain team partnered with DEX Osmosis to enable token exchange between Polkadot and Cosmos ecosystems.

The project received a Polkadot parachain slot in November 2021 as a result of its second auction.

Recall that in March, LayerZero developers raised $135 million in a Series A funding round at a valuation of $1 billion.

In May, media reported the team’s plans to increase the value of the project to $3 billion through additional capital.
