It turned out that the owner of the cryptocurrency wallet, which was blocked from donating to the war in Ukraine last week, is Russian arms manufacturer Vladislav Lobaev. This is reported by CoinDesk with reference to its Russian representative and blockchain analysis data.
Lobaev collected donations through his own Telegram channel. His private firm Lobaev Arms produces rifles and other military ammunition. He supported the military occupation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and with the funds received purchased ammunition for the Russian troops.

According to analytical company Crystal Blockchain, all addresses published by Lobaev belong to the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.
After Ukrainian law enforcement discovered the fundraising activity, they likely convinced the exchange to freeze the account.
Since the end of April, more than 800,000 hryvnia ($ 21,700) have been transferred to Lobaev’s wallets:
6.4 BTC (about $19,700);
3.25 ETH (more than $1500);
about 840 USDT.
All addresses were almost empty and last transactions were recorded between the end of July and August 14.
A Binance spokesperson declined to discuss the ownership of the crypto wallets in question.
“Any government or law enforcement agency in the world can make legitimate claims against users in their jurisdiction, provided they are accompanied by appropriate legal authority,” he said.
At the same time, Binance noted that it has the right to refuse law enforcement requests that are not based on legal scrutiny.
CoinDesk contacted Lobaev via a feedback bot on his Telegram channel and received a response from a person who identified himself as Evgeny, Lobaev’s son. He confirmed that his “father’s” Binance account had been frozen.
He also shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with the exchange’s support team. Indicates that the account is “blocked for the review period”.

When asked how he cashed out cryptocurrencies from his Binance account, “Evgeny Lobaev” replied that he uses over-the-counter brokers.
He added that cryptocurrencies make up a “small portion” of all incoming donations. Lobaev also uses the Russian payment service Yoomoney and an account at Sberbank.
According to Chanalysis analysts, at least 54 different groups from the Russian Federation have raised funds to finance a military invasion of Ukraine since February 2022. At the end of July, their wallets had received a total of $2.2 million in various digital currencies.
Earlier, ForkLog reported that the Aid For Ukraine crypto fund has raised $54 million to help Ukraine. Mintsifra presented a detailed report on spending funds.
