Roche Freedman law firm co-founder Kyle Roche filed a class action waiver against Bitfinex, Tether, Tron Foundation, and HDR Global Trading. Earlier, the lawyer was accused of participating in contract litigation.

At the end of August, a series of videos were published on the CryptoLeaks portal, in which Roche said that he “used the case as a tool to disrupt competitors’ business. [Ava Labs] and a way to bring the latter to the attention of regulators.”

On the record, the attorney also admitted to using the case as a “strategic support tool” for the company behind the Avalanche blockchain.

Emin Gün Sirer, founder of Ava Labs, denied the CryptoLeaks allegations. The lawyer himself described the released recordings as “heavily edited video clips that were obtained illegally, not presented in full context”.

“The videos were taken out of context and edited in a secret shooting process by Norwegian investor Kristen Ager-Hansen, who works for Dfinity founder Dominic Williams,” Roche said.

Williams said he was the subject of a securities fraud and insider trading lawsuit initiated by Roche Freedman, and Kristen Ager-Hansen held a meeting to discredit her.

The attorney added that his company has been collaborating with Ava Labs since 2019. He denied the fact of collusion with Gun Sirer.

Roche Freedman still has several open cases against other players in the cryptocurrency market. Especially Nexo, Solana Labs, Dfinity, BAM Trading and Celsius Network.

Recall that CryptoLeaks was accused of liaising with Roche Freedman and Ripple. Its president, Brad Garlinghouse, said he had “never met or talked to” Roche.
