Recall that in April 2022, Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter at a price of $ 54.2 per share. The administration of the social network agreed to the terms.

However, in May, the billionaire suspended the process after reports that his social network audience was overestimated. In response, Twitter shareholders sued Tesla’s chairman over the “chaotic process” of the company’s takeover, accusing it of manipulating the market.

In July, Musk announced that the deal to buy the social network had been terminated. The company filed a lawsuit against him, demanding that he fulfill his obligations and complete the purchase.

On July 29, the businessman filed a counterclaim, the document has not yet been made public. At the same time, Twitter said it was ready to come to an agreement on the original terms if the 100 accounts disclosed the sampling method and the method of verifying their authenticity.

Earlier in August, Twitter lawyers sued a division of Binance over funding allocated to it for the takeover of the social network by Elon Musk. The agenda was also accepted by the businessman’s financial advisors, investors and potential creditors.
