The Cabinet of Ministers of Abkhazia approved new electricity tariffs that highlight miners in a separate category. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Christina Özgan.
According to the decision of the authorities, consumers who mine cryptocurrencies will pay 3.60 rubles per kWh.
The regulation will enter into force on 1 July 2022.
Özgan stated that if Abkhazia lifts this activity ban, separate tariffs will be applied for miners.
Recall that in 2020, Abkhazia repeatedly imposed restrictions on the production of cryptocurrencies. On April 1, the Council of Ministers extended the ban on mining and imports of goods for this activity until the end of 2022.
