Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin has announced the launch of a $100 million Creators Fund to fund early-stage startups in the non-changeable token (NFT) space.
The fund is a joint venture of KuCoin’s Windvane NFT market and KuCoin Ventures, the exchange’s investment arm.
As a first step, the Creators Fund will invite 99 prominent NFT creators to join Windvane. The platform will connect companies and artists who issue their tokens with the KuCoin audience.
The Windvane team plans to add trading of issued tokens based on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Flow and other networks popular in the NFT space. The market will also host the first sales of non-tradable token collections – INO (Initial NFT Offering).
At the end of December 2021, KuCoin management announced that the number of users registered on the platform has reached 10 million.
Recall that in November 2021, the exchange launched a $100 million fund for metaverse investments.
