The US division of Bitcoin exchange Binance has received a money transfer provider license from Puerto Rico’s financial regulator.
We are excited to add another Money Sender License, because #Porto Rico Our fourth in four months. We are working towards obtaining the few remaining licenses that will allow us to operate in all states and territories of the USA.

The island territory became the fourth US jurisdiction to grant such approval to Binance.US in 2022. Previously, the states of West Virginia, Connecticut, and Wyoming had made a similar decision.
“After the successful completion of the first round, we are very excited to be able to gain momentum with this license and we are grateful to Puerto Rico for the trust,” said CEO Brian Schroeder.
According to the announcement, Binance.US operates in 45 states and 7 territories. The platform lists over 90 cryptocurrencies.
Recall that in April 2022, the American branch raised $200 million with a preliminary estimate of $4.5 billion.
