Smart contract security audit-focused startup CertiK has raised $60 million from SoftBank Vision Fund and Tiger Global.
The new funding is a continuation of the Series B3 round. The startup raised $88 million in early April at a $2 billion valuation from Insight Partners, Tiger Global, Advent International, and other investors.
According to startup CEO Ronghui Gu, SoftBank Vision Fund and Tiger Global were the only participants in the supplemental round. For the Japanese financial conglomerate, this is the first investment in a smart contract security firm.
The partnership with the two investment giants will enable CertiK to connect with traditional companies looking to enter the Web 3.0 space.
Recall that the amount of funds stolen from the DeFi ecosystem since the beginning of 2022 has reached $ 1.22 billion. Events related to Ronin Network, Wormhole, Qubit Finance and Meter have become the most noticeable.
