Billionaire Mark Cuban talked about a way to combat spam and fraud on Twitter using Dogecoin (DOGE). The idea was supported by the co-founder of the meme cryptocurrency Billy Markus.

On May 1, Mark Andreessen posted a screenshot showing that a user impersonating him offered a fake cryptocurrency lottery. Venture capital co-founder Andreessen Horowitz asked what algorithm could monitor this type of content.

Elon Musk wrote “People”.

As a workaround, Cuban suggested adding a feature that requires each user to commit 1 DOGE to tweet.

Anyone will be able to mark messages as spam – if approved, complainants will share the violator’s existence among themselves.

To post new tweets, a spammer will have to commit 100 DOGE already. If the complaint is not approved, its author loses 1 DOGE.

Recall, Twitter management has agreed to sell the social network to Elon Musk for $44 billion and plans to close the deal by the end of 2022. Tesla’s president wants to create “an inclusive arena for free speech.”

The decision was supported by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, and Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.

Earlier, Musk suggested reducing the cost of the Twitter Blue subscription and allowing users to pay for the premium service in Dogecoin.
