Cryptocurrency exchange OKX has entered into a multi-year partnership with British racing drivers McLaren F1 Team and their McLaren Shadow esports Team.
The cost of the operation amounted to several hundred million dollars. The exact amount is not sought.
As part of the deal, the OKX brand will appear on McLaren vehicles and on the suits and helmets of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo at the Miami Grand Prix on May 8.
According to OKX Marketing Director Haider Rafik, no cryptocurrency company has ever entered such big deals with Formula 1 participants.
Recall that in February, Bybit exchange announced its cooperation with the F1 Oracle Red Bull Racing team.
In June 2021, the Crypto.com platform became a partner of the Formula 1 racing series.
